ICCAL

Projects

The Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg, Germany, has led several research projects related to the study of ICCAL’s relationship with other areas of public international law and the relationship between domestic legal systems and international human rights law. ICCAL has also developed projects dealing with regional problems such as migration or the pandemic.

Through the development of these projects, the Max Planck Institute seeks to contribute to solving the social and legal problems affecting the region, based on the ICCAL conceptual framework. In this way, it seeks to promote the effective protection of human rights, respect for democracy, and the effective functioning of the rule of law in Latin America.
