Mariela Morales Antoniazzi, coordinator of the ICCAL project at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law (MPIL), delivered the lecture "El ius constitutionale commune en América Latina" at the University of Málaga (UMA) on 27 October 2026, as part of the Constitutional Law Seminars held during the first semester of the 2026–2027 academic year.

Organised by UMA’s Constitutional Law Unit with the support of the EURights research group (Fundamental Rights in Europe), the series brings together national and international experts on issues of contemporary constitutionalism. ICCAL’s comparative approach, which examines the interplay between Latin American legal orders and the Inter-American Human Rights System, fitted naturally into this setting by offering a Latin American complement to the European debate on multilevel protection. After the lecture, Morales Antoniazzi held an exchange with Ángel Rodríguez, Professor at UMA, Director of EURights and President of the Asociación de Constitucionalistas de España (ACE).
