#IATV Blog Symposium: Re-Interamericanization of Venezuela

The first ICCAL Blog symposium, based on the ICCAL International Seminar "Ius Constitutionale Commune in Latin America as a Cornerstone for the Democratic Transition in Venezuela", follows a common thread: the re-inter-Americanization of Venezuela. This has two dimensions: reintegration into the Inter-American System as a legal obligation, and the use of its tools as a blueprint for institutional reconstruction. Alongside proposals on pathways toward transition, the symposium brings together comparative perspectives on processes as different as those of Spain, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala and Syria, as well as input for thinking about the country’s future. Conceived as an open space, it aims to grow with new contributions from the ICCAL project and the Academic Initiative for the Transition of Venezuela (#IATV).

Blogs: Rethinking the Transition in Venezuela

This series of blogs emerged from the book Rethinking the Transition in Venezuela: Possible Scenarios and Lessons Learned. Based on their original contributions, several authors developed some of the central ideas of their chapters in these texts, presenting them in a shorter and more accessible format. The blogs did not reproduce the content of the book, but rather offered reflections that delved deeper into concepts, debates, and standards relevant to thinking about the paths to an eventual democratic transition in Venezuela.

Academic Repository

This repository brings together bibliography, articles, book chapters, reports, and other relevant materials on transitional justice, democracy, human rights, and transition in Venezuela. Its purpose is to provide an accessible reference tool for research, teaching, and specialized analysis.
